Low Profile Fiberglass Dispenser Sumps

The Low Profile dispenser sump is Franklin's newer single wall fiberglass design for under-dispenser containment. Its upper half tapers inward, so the weight of backfill and concrete is spread evenly and concrete contact is maximised whether the island is poured with a form or without one. The base body is large enough for up to five pipe entries, and the wide mouth leaves room to fit and service shear valves and connectors.

It is made by closed-mould fiberglass moulding, which gives a very smooth outside surface. That matters because entry boots seal against the sump wall, and a smooth face makes watertight boot connections easier to achieve. Inside, a white gel coat improves visibility and protects the resin-rich laminate. The steel top frame is powder coated against corrosion, and stabilizer bar tracks for the shear valves are fitted at the factory.

Electricians get flat sump ends and an integrated conduit mounting channel, so conduit rises straight into the dispenser from below without extra bends and without penetrating the sump wall. Models are made for Gilbarco Encore dispensers and for Wayne Ovation 2 and High Speed Diesel dispensers, and the sump is UL2447 listed.
