Watertight containment for tank tops, dispensers and pipe transitions
Franklin containment keeps groundwater out and leaks in, from PetroTite PE and Optimum Fusion tank chambers to fiberglass and polyethylene tank and dispenser sumps. UPP® dispenser sumps and electrofusion entry seals weld into the pipework for a system with no mechanical joints.
Transition sumps handle connections for aboveground tanks and through-wall runs, while mechanical and fusion entry boots seal every pipe and conduit entry. Apex supplies and installs the full containment range.

Product lines
What this range covers
PetroTite PE chambers
DC4830 tank chamber with a bolted riser-to-base joint, vacuum testable and compatible with all UPP electrofusion entry seals. The PetroTite PE Fusion version electrofuses the riser to the base.
Optimum Fusion chambers
OCH chambers whose riser electrofuses to the base in about six minutes with UPP equipment, leaving no bolts or foam gaskets, then vacuum tested. A small riser version is also available.
Fiberglass tank sumps
Watertight sumps in 42" or 48" diameters, 60" high and adjustable down to 34", fitting under a 36" manway with a 31" clear opening. Matching collars suit 8' to 11' diameter tanks.
Polyethylene tank sumps
Water-resistant sumps with a toggle-sealed gasketed lid, 16 flat pipe entry faces and a 7 mm wall that cuts down in 110 mm steps, plus the 4542 Series one-piece sump for a 42" manway.
Fiberglass dispenser sumps
Large Mouth single and double-wall sumps with factory-sealed dispenser frames, and UL2447 listed Low Profile sumps with a tapered top for easy access under the dispenser.
Polyethylene dispenser sumps
Two-piece Large Mouth sumps in medium (28") and deep (43") burial depths, with a 22" wide opening in 24", 36" or 48" lengths and a riser that trims in 3" steps. ULc listed.
UPP® dispenser sumps
Rigid 8 mm HDPE sumps with a rain lip that weld to UPP® pipe through electrofusion entry seals, with dispenser-specific mounting frames and stabilizer bars.
Transition sumps
AST-2922 grade-level sump for aboveground tank dispensing, TS-Series below-grade sumps, IPS intermediate piping sumps, and grade-level and wall transition sleeves.
Mechanical entry boots and seals
APT flexible boots from ½" to 4", bulkhead boots, rigid single and double-wall boots for XP pipe, electrical conduit boots and PetroSeal boots for 50 to 160 mm UPP® pipe.
Electrofusion entry seals
302, 303, 304/305 and 308 Series seals that weld to polyethylene chambers and sumps, plus fusion boots for fiberglass sumps and steel entry seals for steel containment.
