Underground Piping (UPP)
Electrofusion and flexible fuel pipework for underground forecourt lines
UPP® semi-rigid pipework joins pipe, fittings and containment by electrofusion welding into one watertight system. The EN range covers 50, 63, 90, 110 and 160 mm primary pipe and 63x50, 75x63, 110x90 and 125x110 mm secondary contained pipe, with KIWA accessories for markets that need them.
For sites that call for a flexible line, APT® XP pipework, its fittings and test boots, and XP ducting complete the range. Apex supplies and installs UPP® and APT® pipework systems from tank to dispenser.

What this range covers
UPP® 50 mm primary
Single-wall 50 mm pipe in 5.8 m sticks and 50 m or 100 m coils, with electrofusion couplers, fittings and BSPT, BSPP and NPT terminations.
UPP® 63 mm primary
Single-wall 63 mm pipe in 5.8 m and 8 m sticks or 100 m coils, with matching couplers, elbows, tees, reducers, flanges and termination fittings.
UPP® 90 mm primary
Single-wall 90 mm pipe in 5.8 m sticks and 50 m coils, with welding couplers, fittings and 110 x 90 mm entry seals.
UPP® 110 mm primary
Single-wall 110 mm pipe in 5.8 m sticks, plus 110 mm FILL pipe in 5.8 m sticks and 50 m coils for fill lines.
UPP® 160 mm primary
Large-bore 160 mm pipe in 11.5 m sticks with its own 160 mm fusion coupler and fittings.
UPP® 63x50 mm secondary contained
50 mm coaxial pipe in 30 m and 100 m coils with 63 mm secondary pipe in 5.8 m sticks. Test ports are 7 mm Schrader valves with protective caps.
UPP® 75x63 mm secondary contained
63 mm coaxial pipe in 10 m lengths and 30 m or 50 m coils, with 75 mm secondary pipe in 5.8 m and 8 m sticks.
UPP® 110x90 mm secondary contained
110 mm secondary pipe in 5.8 m sticks over 90 mm primary, with sliding secondary elbows and fusion entry seals with test ports.
UPP® 125x110 mm secondary contained
110 mm coaxial pipe in 30 m and 50 m coils with a 125 mm outer sleeve in 5.8 m sticks, and electrofusion seals with 125 and 110 mm couplers.
KIWA system accessories
Parts for markets that require KIWA certification: a 63 mm anti-permeation ring to KIWA BRL-K552/03, 50 and 63 mm single-wall formed bends and a 63 mm x 1½" BSPT male termination.
APT® XP flexible pipework
Highly flexible pipe for pressure and suction lines in 1½", 1¾" and 2" diameters, built from Nylon 12 layers with Mylar barriers and a Nylon 12 secondary jacket.
APT® XP fittings and test boots
Clamshell swivel, tee and elbow, quick release and standard galvanised fittings rated to 100 psi working pressure, with stainless steel versions approved for E85 and biodiesel. Test boots pressurise the secondary jacket to 5-8 psi.
Ducting
APT® XP 4" pipe ducting with a corrugated HDPE outer wall and low-friction LLDPE inner wall, plus fusion ducted entry boots that weld the duct to polyethylene sumps.
