APT® Large Mouth Polyethylene Dispenser Sumps
Two-piece PE dispenser sumps in medium and deep burial depths with 24", 36" or 48" base openings
Overview
Large Mouth polyethylene dispenser sumps are modular: a PE base, a ribbed riser and a steel top frame chosen to suit the dispenser. Six bases cover three lengths and two depths. Each has a 22" wide opening that is 24", 36" or 48" long, leaving room for entry boots, fittings and sump sensors, and below the opening the base widens to 26" where the boots and pipe connections are made.
Medium bases are 28" deep and deep bases 43", so the pipe can keep its fall back to the tank on longer runs. The riser is trimmed at its ribs in 3" steps on site to bring the sump to grade. Top frames are powder-coated steel; the shear valves and the dispenser mount to them, and stabilizer bar kits fix into welded strut channels. One SBK is needed per shear valve and is ordered separately. Conduit-less frames use ½", ¾" or 1" grommets.
Franklin offers a frame for most popular dispenser models, including medium sumps for the Wayne Helix 2000 and 4000 (LMM-2915-HLX) and Helix 5000 (LMM-3915-HLX). The range is ULc listed and Florida EQ-423 approved, and bases are also sold on their own. Apex supplies and installs these sumps for new dispensers and replacements.

Questions
APT® Large Mouth Polyethylene Dispenser Sumps: common questions
- What is the difference between medium and deep models?
- Medium (LMM) bases are 28" high and deep (LMD) bases 43", which lets the sump sit lower where the pipe needs more fall back to the tank.
- Are stabilizer bar kits included?
- No. One stabilizer bar kit is required for each shear valve and is purchased separately; the datasheet lists the correct SBK for every sump.
- Can the sump height be adjusted?
- Yes. The ribbed riser is cut down in the field in 3" increments to reach grade and maintain pipe slope.
