Franklin CableTight 32 mm flexible conduit system

Overview

In markets that accept flexible conduit, CableTight™ offers two sizes, and the choice depends on how many cables share a run. Both bring cables into a sump or chamber through an electrofusion entry seal, but they grip the wires differently.

The 32 mm system suits one large cable or a few small ones. Its 302-032-EC entry seal takes a single compression grommet, ordered separately, chosen to match the cable: a three-way 5-6 mm grommet for sensors, line leak detectors and tank gauge probes, a 7-9 mm grommet for tank grounding, 9-11 mm for card reader or outdoor payment terminal cable, 12-14 mm for tank or dispenser power, and 14-16 mm for dispenser hook signal wiring. A 02-032-L electrofusion coupler joins conduit lengths.

The 75 mm system is built for bundles. Its 303-075-EC multi-cable entry seal accepts a compression disc carrying several entries for wires of 5 to 17 mm. Disc patterns are set for typical jobs: twelve 5-8 mm entries for tank sensors, nine mixed entries for tank power on pressure systems, and five-way discs for dispenser power and data. Blank discs and grommets hold spare capacity for line testing or later expansion, and plugs from 3 mm to 18 mm close unused holes. Test ports on the system are 7 mm Schrader valves with protective caps. Apex selects disc and grommet sets for each sump so every cable entry is sealed on the first pass.

Questions

CableTight™ 32 mm and 75 mm Flexible Conduit Systems: common questions

Should I use 32 mm or 75 mm conduit?
Franklin positions 32 mm for a single large cable or a few smaller cables, and 75 mm for groups of cables of 5 to 17 mm through one multi-cable entry seal.
Are grommets supplied with the entry seal?
No. Entry seals ship without grommets or discs, which are ordered separately to match the cable diameters.
How are unused holes sealed?
With cable entry plugs, offered in sizes from 3 mm to 18 mm.
