Franklin Fueling Systems EVO 600 modular tank gauge

Overview

The EVO™ 600 and EVO™ 6000 are the modular consoles of the EVO™ Series. Every console ships with a power supply module and a controller module, and the installer fills the remaining slots with the interface modules the site needs: probe modules, 2-wire and 3-wire sensor modules, AC input, relay and 10 amp relay modules, 4-20 mA, RS-485 and UDP modules. Slot count is the main difference: 6 on the EVO™ 600, of which at most 4 may be intrinsically safe, against 11 on the larger EVO™ 6000, with a limit of 9 intrinsically safe.

Both consoles monitor up to 48 tanks stand-alone and up to 96 with FMP-EXPC expansion modules. The difference is input capacity: the EVO™ 6000 reaches 140 sensor inputs stand-alone and 280 with expansion, against 80 and 220 on the EVO™ 600. That makes the EVO™ 6000 the choice for depots and large stations with many sumps and interstitial spaces.

Beyond inventory and tank testing, these consoles carry the features that need extra modules or field devices: vacuum-based secondary containment monitoring, Corrosion Control™ automation, fuel point flow rate monitoring and Enhanced Sentinel Mode for theft detection. They also report density, mass and phase separation, and can monitor back-up generators. Both are backwards compatible with TSP-XXX sensors, which helps when upgrading older Franklin sites.

Apex supplies, installs and services EVO™ 600 and EVO™ 6000 systems in Lebanon, including module planning and upgrades of legacy consoles.

Questions

EVO™ 600 & EVO™ 6000: common questions

What is the difference between the EVO™ 600 and EVO™ 6000?
The EVO™ 6000 is a wider enclosure with 11 module slots against 6, so it takes more sensor and AC inputs. Tank capacity is the same on both: 48 stand-alone, 96 with expansion.
Are there limits on which modules can be combined?
Yes. Relay, 10 A relay and input/output modules together must be 4 or fewer, UDP 24V modules must be 4 or fewer, and the intrinsically safe barrier goes in the third slot or later.
Can an existing EVO™ console be upgraded?
Franklin offers upgrade kits for existing EVO™ consoles. The serial number of the installed unit is needed when ordering.
