Franklin Fueling Systems EVO 400 automatic tank gauge

Overview

The EVO™ 400 is the compact, fixed-format console of the EVO™ Series. Instead of slot-in modules it has a built-in board with 14 Universal Device Protocol channels, which take probes and sensors directly. Two FMP-ULS liquid sensors can share one channel in parallel, raising sensor capacity to 28 without extra hardware. It suits single-forecourt stations and small fleet yards that need inventory control, tank testing and leak monitoring without the size of a modular console.

Franklin builds each EVO™ 400 to order from a part number. The EVO401 enhanced base model is combined with hardware letters (D for the colour touch screen, W for Wi-Fi) and software letters: T for SCALD® 24-hour tank testing, R or F for reconciliation and autocalibration (F adds flow rate monitoring), L or G for electronic line leak detection (G is the generator version) and C for enhanced logic conditions. Features left out at first can be added later as field upgrades by giving Franklin the serial number of the console.

Line leak detection uses ELLD kits of 2, 3 or 4 pressure transducers, and the console can cover up to 4 lines. An idle-period check alerts staff if product is lost while no fuel is being sold, and the console can upgrade its own firmware and email backup files of its configuration and regulatory history.

Apex supplies, installs and services the EVO™ 400 in Lebanon and helps choose the right option code for each site.

Questions

EVO™ 400: common questions

How many tanks and sensors can the EVO™ 400 handle?
Up to 14 tanks and 14 sensor inputs, or 28 sensors when two FMP-ULS sensors are wired in parallel on each channel.
Can features be added after installation?
Yes. SCALD® testing, reconciliation, flow rate monitoring, ELLD and logic conditions are sold as field upgrades. Franklin needs the serial number of the existing console.
Does the EVO™ 400 have a built-in printer?
No. It uses the FMP-ETP external thermal printer, connected by network or USB and wall mounted next to the console.
