Overview
The 2 Hp FE PETRO is the most flexible pump in the 4" range because it is made in both fixed speed and variable speed form. It suits busy retail grades: in variable speed form a 2 Hp pump holds a constant 10 gpm (38 lpm) at up to eight fuelling positions running at once.
Fixed speed models use a multi-stage pump at 2875 rpm on 50 Hz. The 200B is single-phase on 200-250 VAC with a 440 V, 40 microfarad capacitor, and the 200C is three-phase on 380-415 VAC. The standard three-stage version reaches 2.55 bar and the high-pressure four-stage version 3.03 bar; on 60 Hz the M200 gives 36 psi and the HM200 45 psi.
Variable speed VS2 models are two-stage pumps driven only by a variable frequency controller, the MagVFC on single-phase or the EcoVFC on three-phase. Operating pressure is selectable between 1.65 and 2.90 bar deadhead, maximum flow is 416 lpm (110 gpm), and control is based on motor power, so no pressure transducer or special wiring is needed. On both versions the stainless steel MagShell option enlarges the motor shell and increases the flow area around it by 45%, which Franklin compares to having one more nozzle open at peak times. IST models build in alcohol-gasoline compatibility. Apex supplies, installs and services 2 Hp pumps.
