FE PETRO® 6" High Capacity 3 and 5 Hp Pumps

When a site needs more than a 4" pump can give, such as truck diesel lanes or very high-volume gasoline, Franklin's 6" FE PETRO high capacity pump takes over. It comes in 3 Hp (STP3C) and 5 Hp (STP5C) versions, both fixed speed and three-phase on 380-415 VAC, 50 Hz, running at 2875 rpm with a multi-stage centrifugal pump and built-in automatic thermal overload protection.

The motor is a continuous-duty three-phase Franklin Electric unit with carbon bearings and stainless steel journals. Impellers are moulded acetal, diffusers hard-coated aluminium and the shaft stainless steel, and a mesh screen on the inlet keeps large particles out. The discharge head has two opposed 3" horizontal outlets, two built-in line check valves and two pressure relief valves that protect dispensers, meters and piping from thermal expansion; the standard relief opens at 2.76 bar and resets above 2.41 bar. The pump mounts on a 6" riser pipe.

Service is designed to be quick. Large pins and sockets break the electrical circuit automatically when the extractable section is lifted, so motor work does not need an electrician on site, and the pump motor assembly comes off the discharge head with four bolts and pusher bolts. Pumps are built to the tank as fixed-length models from 1524 to 5080 mm. Control is by a TPGC-380 Guardian three-phase controller or an STP-CBB3C or STP-CBB5C starter, and the MLD-HC detector provides line leak detection.
