FE PETRO® ⅓ & ¾ Hp Submersible Pumps
Fixed speed 4" submersible turbine pumps for low-throughput grades and smaller tanks

Overview
The ¾ Hp FE PETRO pump is the entry point of Franklin's 4" submersible range, sized for low-throughput grades and smaller tanks where a bigger motor would be wasted. It runs at fixed speed with a two-stage centrifugal pump end and a motor with integral, automatic thermal overload protection. In 50 Hz form it turns at 2875 rpm and reaches a maximum pressure of 2.55 bar; the 60 Hz version runs at 3450 rpm and 30 psi. Franklin also lists a ⅓ Hp model in the same family.
Two electrical versions serve 50 Hz sites. The 75B is single-phase on 200-250 VAC, with a 440 V, 15 microfarad start and run capacitor, and is controlled by an SPGC-220 Guardian controller or an STP-CBBS control box. The 75C is three-phase on 380-415 VAC and uses a TPGC-380 Guardian controller or an STP-CBB3C magnetic starter. Standard models are listed for gasoline with up to 10% ethanol, while AG (alcohol-gasoline) models handle up to 85% ethanol, up to 20% biodiesel or 100% biodiesel.
It shares the FE PETRO manifold with the larger pumps: active air elimination, a 70 mm line check valve that keeps pressure loss low, a vent screw for manual pressure relief, and a contractor electrical disconnect that frees the motor wiring by loosening a single bolt. Variable-length models telescope to fit the tank, and the VL2 range suits 94% of known tank diameter and bury depth combinations. Apex supplies, installs and services ¾ Hp pumps.
