The barcode multifunction welder sealed into a waterproof, shockproof Peli case.
Overview
Forecourt trenches are wet, dusty and hard on equipment. For that work NUPI builds its multifunction welder into a Peli case that is watertight, sand-proof, dustproof and able to take shocks, certified for temperatures from -18 °C to 50 °C. The welder, its cables and the barcode reader are all housed in the case, so the kit travels and stores as one closed box.
Two sizes are made. The 00E9001P (also coded 19SSEL8404P) welds fittings from 20 to 400 mm, and the lighter 00E9001LP (19SSEL8404LP) from 20 to 160 mm, which covers the usual SMARTFLEX forecourt sizes and keeps the carrying weight to 16 kg. Inside the case is the full multifunction unit: barcode reading to ISO 13950 or manual time and voltage entry, ambient temperature compensation, 10,000 weld memory, eight pressure test memories and a connector for a pressure test unit. A USB port in the upper compartment exports welding reports to a USB key.
NUPI's quick guide walks the operator through cutting, scraping, marking and clamping before every weld, and the unit reminds the operator of these steps on screen. Apex supplies the suitcase units in Lebanon and can recommend the right size for a contractor's typical pipe range.
