Manual welding unit (00E8500)

NUPI's manual welding unit is for installers who want a simple, robust machine. There is no barcode reader: the operator reads the welding time and voltage printed on the fitting and keys them in. During the cycle a large backlit display shows heating time, power consumption, voltage and energy delivered, and an ambient temperature sensor is fitted. The menus can be set to Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Dutch or Portuguese.

Two models are made. The 00E8500 weighs 20 kg in a 340 x 500 x 220 mm body, and NUPI's technical flyer gives it a range of 20 to 400 mm on polyethylene and 20 to 200 mm on PP-R fittings. The 00E8500L is the smaller 15.6 kg unit for 20 to 160 mm. NUPI's accessory table lists USB support with data download software for both, but no barcode scanner, traceability or pressure test function, which separates them from the automatic units. They conform with CE 89/392 and ship with a user handbook, shipping box and 4.7 mm pin adapters.

The manual unit suits occasional welding, training and backup use, where the full data trail of an automatic unit is not required by the project. Apex supplies both models in Lebanon and can advise when an automatic barcode unit is the better choice for SMARTFLEX warranty records.
