Truck and high-volume nozzles
High-flow nozzles for truck stops, bus fleets and bulk plants.
Truck and high-volume nozzles fill diesel tanks faster than a retail nozzle. Husky's VIIIS and VIII use a sand cast aluminium body, a contoured steel lever and a larger bore; 1HS and 1HSS are rated to 25 gpm (94.6 L/min). The 1690 and 1691 are bulk fueling nozzles with a 1-1/2 inch inlet and a right-angle body for filling tanks in tight corners.
VIIIS and 1HS are pressure-activated; VIII and 1HSS are automatic shut-off. The dual-poppet design on VIIIS equalises pressure across the main poppet so the lever opens easily at high flow. All families offer NPT or BSP inlets, cold weather seals, hold-open clips and optional spout bushings, and Apex supplies them for truck stops and depots in Lebanon.

A high-volume nozzle is the same automatic shut-off idea in a bigger body. The gold line is the fuel moving at up to 25 gpm on the 1HS and 1HSS.

A larger inlet for high flow
VIIIS and VIII take a 1 inch inlet, and the 1690 and 1691 take a 1-1/2 inch inlet. The larger bore lets a truck tank fill at a much higher rate than a car tank.
