DEF and AdBlue nozzles
Diesel exhaust fluid nozzles built for ISO 22241 DEF.
Diesel exhaust fluid is not diesel. It is a urea solution that crystallises when it dries, and it needs its own nozzle, spout and materials. Husky makes three DEF nozzle families: SST in investment cast stainless steel, POLY in a lighter polymer body, and X DEF in anodised aluminium. All three are automatic shut-off nozzles built for full-service and self-service stations.
The POLY and X DEF nozzles comply with ISO 22241-2:2006, and their flow characteristics are shaped to reduce crystallisation. Magnetic Accufuel spouts are available to prevent misfuelling, and M34 and BSPP inlet versions match different dispenser outlets. Apex supplies and services the Husky DEF range in Lebanon.

DEF is a urea solution, not diesel. The gold line is the DEF moving from the tank to the vehicle, and the design is about keeping it clean and crystal-free.

A dedicated DEF inlet
DEF nozzles have their own inlet sizes so a diesel nozzle cannot be connected by mistake: 1 inch BSPP or M34 on SST, 1 inch BSPP on POLY, 3/4 inch NPT or BSPP on X DEF, and M34 on X DEF M34.
