Retail fuel nozzles
The nozzle on the island, for full-service and self-service stations.
Retail nozzles are the ones a customer uses at every fill. Husky builds them around the same automatic shut-off idea: a venturi at the spout senses when fuel reaches the tip and trips the latch, so the nozzle closes before the tank overflows. XS and X add Flo-Stop, which shuts the nozzle if it falls out of the filler neck or is raised above horizontal.
The range covers four families. XS is the pressure-activated automatic nozzle, in unleaded and light duty diesel versions. X is the automatic shut-off nozzle with the same body and a deliberately simple feature set. 1A and 1AS are the stronger-bodied automatic nozzles in polymer or metal handguard versions. ECO is a conventional nozzle with a mechanical interlock, CARB certified for drips, spills, spitting and liquid retention. Apex supplies and services all four in Lebanon.

- Stainless steel reinforced spout bushing keeps the spout tip round and protects the tip-end sensor
- StreamShaper reduces turbulence for straighter flow and less splash back
- ADA-compliant EZ Lever reduces the force needed to open the main valve by 50%, to 5 lb or less
- Fluorocarbon seals, resistant to ethanol blends
- Hold-open clip versions with two or three notch positions, and versions without a clip
- Cold weather seals rated to -40 degrees F and C, available on all families
- Optional Gilbarco, Tokheim and Wayne handguards, with or without a magnet for proximity switches
- Optional Flo-Equalizer limits the nozzle to 10 gpm (37.9 L/min)
- Inlets in 1 inch NPT or BSP; 1AS also in M34 x 1.5; ECO in 3/4 inch NPT or BSP

Fuel arrives from the hose
The dispenser hose screws onto the inlet. The inlet thread has to match the dispenser: 1 inch NPT or BSP on most models, and M34 on 1AS.
