Husky VIIIS and VIII nozzles
High-flow diesel nozzles for truck stops and unattended stations.
Overview
VIIIS and VIII are Husky's high-volume nozzles for truck stops and other high-volume full-service, self-service and unattended stations. VIIIS is pressure activated: it shuts off when the pump stops, the tank is full, the lever is opened before the pump is turned on, or the leak detector has not completed its test cycle. VIII is an automatic shut-off nozzle that closes when the tank is full.
Both use a one piece sand cast aluminium body with a high-impact polymer or metal handguard and a one piece contoured steel lever with a hard polymer cover. The VIIIS adds a dual poppet design that equalises pressure on both sides of the main poppet, so the lever opens easily at full flow.
An optional aluminium spout bushing retains the spout spring and keeps the spout from rounding in. Husky names rounding and a lost spring as the two leading causes of clicking off and splash-back spillage. Flo-Stop shuts the nozzle if it falls from the fill neck or is raised above horizontal.
