KIWA UPP® System Accessories
Anti-permeation rings, formed bends and terminations for KIWA-certified UPP® installs

Overview
Some markets, particularly those that follow Dutch KIWA certification, set extra rules for underground fuel pipework, and a standard UPP® installation needs three special parts to meet them. Franklin groups these as the KIWA system accessories: an anti-permeation ring, a primary formed pipe bend and a stainless steel pipe termination. All are KIWA certified.
The anti-permeation ring answers a specific clause. KIWA BRL-K552/03 requires the small gap between two pipe ends inside an electrofusion coupler to be closed on single-wall primary pipe carrying PGS Class 1 and Class 2 fuels. The ring sits between the pipe ends within a standard coupler. Primary pipe carrying PGS Class 3 fuel, such as diesel, does not need it. Rings come in 50 mm and 63 mm sizes.
The formed bends, 03-050-R400-K and 03-063-R400-K, are factory-formed single-wall bends in 50 mm and 63 mm for changes of direction in the line. The 91-063-1-EXT-SS termination takes 63 mm pipe to a 1½" male BSPT thread for connection at the pump. In Franklin's installation drawing these parts work with standard couplers and primary pipe, plus a locally supplied pump cradle.
Apex can supply KIWA accessories in Lebanon for projects whose client or specification asks for KIWA-compliant UPP® pipework.
