EBW® Fill and Vapour Adapters and Caps

The adapter and cap on a fill riser are handled at every delivery, and a loose or worn one leaks vapour or product. Franklin's fill and vapour swivel adapters deal with the most common cause, the delivery elbow twisting on the riser. The top section rotates with the elbow on two rows of corrosion-resistant chromium steel ball bearings, so the lower section stays tight on the riser pipe. Vapour seals are fluorocarbon, the adapters add about 4" to riser height to fit under most existing manway covers, and the vapour swivel has a poppet that closes the vapour path when nothing is coupled.

Swivels are made in 4" NPT brass or stainless steel (SWF-100 fill, SWV-100 vapour, or SWFV packages of both), with CARB Phase I EVR certification VR-101; the stainless versions are also certified for E85. Kits matched to Defender Series, PHIL-TITE and EBW spill containers add the correct riser nipple and top cap.

To close the riser, the EBW 777 4" top seal fill cap has a self-centring linkage, stainless latches, padlock capability, a replaceable gasket that moulds to the adapter, and a pull-off, push-on T-handle. The 779 is a 3" single-lever cap in epoxy-coated aluminium with a brass cam arm. The 778 top seal fill pipe adapter is ASTM B62 brass with a nitrile gasket, with or without wrenching lugs. For Stage I vapour recovery through a single riser, the 306 coaxial adapter lets product flow down the centre while vapour returns around the drop tube to the tanker.
