EBW® Cast Iron and Steel Manways

Not every opening on a forecourt needs a large composite lid. Fill points, small sumps and monitoring access are often better served by a compact metal cover that can take years of wheel traffic. Franklin's EBW® metallic range covers these with three families.

Round cast iron manways come in 7½", 12" and 18" diameters and are engineered and tested to meet or exceed H20 load ratings. The 7½" size has a ribbed cast iron cover, a cast iron ring and a heavy-duty cast iron skirt. The 12" and 18" sizes use a 16 gauge welded steel skirt offered in different depths. On the 18" size, an FRC cover in standard API colours can be ordered, with a recess for an API colour-coded identification plate so each fill can be marked by product.

Steel manways are made round in 18" and 24" and square at 24" x 24", tested to meet or exceed H20 and HS20, painted rustproof black, and offered in bolted versions with bolts and gasket. The square manway is fully welded with matched corners so the cover seats properly. Steel knock down manways have a 3/8" diamond back steel plate cover and a galvanised skirt, in 16" × 16" or 24" × 24". They are boxed with the skirt flat and assembled on site with the supplied hardware, which makes them easy to store and transport.
