Overview
The R_SMART TOP is the box on the wall of the station office or depot control room that collects the readings from every Maser probe and turns them into a live picture of the wet stock. Its 7" resistive TFT touch screen shows each tank at a glance, so the operator can check levels, water and temperature without opening a computer.
One console handles up to 16 tanks. Beyond displaying data, it runs the tank-gauging functions itself: static and dynamic leak detection, automatic tank calibration, automatic reconciliation of sales against stock, and a record of deliveries, trends, events and alarms. Four programmable relay outputs (125 VAC, 2 A, SPDT) can drive external alarms, and four programmable input channels accept digital or 4-20 mA two-wire analogue signals from other sensors.
The console is built to sit inside a wider system rather than alone. Probes connect over an RS 485 field bus, two RS 232 ports serve the POS and a serial printer, and Ethernet plus two USB ports link it to the network. It speaks the main protocols used by common forecourt management systems, and it passes its data on to Maser's TankSmart software for order planning and analysis. Power is 100-230 Vac and the enclosure measures 220 x 170 x 71.4 mm with IP 41 protection, which suits an indoor wall position.
