Shear valves, connectors, vents and tank valves for the full fuel path
Franklin's EBW® shear valves close the line at the dispenser in a collision or fire, and FLEX-ING™ flexible connectors and ball valves make tight connections and easy isolation in tank and dispenser sumps. The EZ Fit system lets one connector suit many fittings.
Defender Series® and PV-ZERO™ P/V vents control tank breathing, and a range of check, isolation and vent valves serves underground and aboveground tanks. Apex supplies, installs and services the full range.

What this range covers
Product shear valves
EBW® valves that stop product flow if the dispenser is hit or catches fire: the adapter shears on impact and a fusible link closes the poppet at 165 °F (73.9 °C). Single and double poppet, boss or U-bolt mount.
Vapour shear valves
EBW® emergency breakaway valves for Stage II vapour recovery lines, with dual poppets that seal both the dispenser riser and the vapour line. UL 842 listed.
FLEX-ING™ flexible connectors
All-metal connectors with a 321 stainless steel inner core and schedule 80 hex ends, 100% pressure tested and supplied with an EZ FIT clamp and gasket. UL 2039 listed for 50 psi working pressure.
EZ Fit system
Flexible connectors with an EZ FIT flange end that can be fitted at the parts counter to suit any pipe, pump manifold or shear valve, cutting threaded joints and stock.
Ball valves
FLEX-ING™ brass ball valves for in-line shutoff during testing and maintenance, with blowout-proof triple-sealed stems and a 600 psi working pressure.
Defender Series® P/V vents
Pressure/vacuum vents with a rolling diaphragm for controlled cracking, available with an in-line vault for at-grade service or with a flame arrestor. The UK model has a 35 mbar maximum pressure setting.
PV-ZERO™ P/V vent
Stainless steel vent that uses a liquid trap for pressure and vacuum relief with no leak rate, installed and serviced from ground level. UL 842 listed for gasoline and E85.
Check, foot and isolation valves
EBW® angle, vertical, union and under-pump check valves and foot valves to hold prime on suction systems, and the 325 product line isolation valve rated to 50 psi.
Underground tank vent valves
Extractor vent valves for 4" tank openings, ball float vent valves for Stage I vapour risers and vent lines, and 3" float vent valves for manifolded vents.
Aboveground tank vents and valves
Anti-syphon valves, the 664 pressure regulator valve, the Warden® overfill valve (200 gpm at 20 psi), pressure vacuum, open and downward vents, and lockable 2" fill caps.
