The technical manual gives a minimum bending radius of 580 mm for 32 mm pipe, 900 mm for 50 mm and 1100 mm for 63 mm. No bending radius is given for 90 and 110 mm.

Overview

In the SMARTFLEX range a single wall line is simply the primary pipe laid on its own, without an outer containment pipe. That primary pipe is co-extruded: several layers leave the die at the same time, pairing a PE100 high-density polyethylene body with an inner (and on some models outer) polymer layer chosen for low fuel permeability and chemical resistance. NUPI states that the liner gives a fuel-tight barrier, good wear resistance, strong long-term pressure performance and limited head loss.

NUPI makes the single wall pipe in four families. TSMAH and TSMAU are built to the EN 14125 and Kiwa route, while TSMAXP and TSMAUXP are the UL single wall pipes. Each family has its own colour code and approved uses, so the right pipe can be picked for pressure product lines, suction lines, fill lines, vents or vapour recovery (VR1 and VR2). TSMAH covers the widest span, from 32 mm up to 315 mm outside diameter.

Joints are made with moulded electrofusion fittings: couplers (SME, SMEN), 90 and 45 degree elbows (SGE, SCE), tees (STE, STELV), end caps and reducers, all with long insertion depths for a tight, repeatable joint. Threaded adapters in brass, nickel plated brass or AISI 304 stainless steel, swivel adapters, loose flanges and square flange kits make the transition to pumps, tanks and dispensers.
