Pressure/vacuum vents
Lets the tank breathe without losing vapour.
Husky pressure/vacuum vents sit on top of the tank vent stack and use three separate valves to control the over-pressure and vacuum conditions that arise in storage tanks. The vacuum valve and the first over-pressure valve are diaphragm operated, giving ten times more sealing force than gravity devices, and a safety over-pressure valve handles high pressure, high flow conditions, venting up to 7900 SCFH at 2 psi/.14 bar.
Model 008060 opens at 6-8" WC/2-2.5 kPa vacuum and 8-12" WC/.75-1.5 kPa pressure; models 004620 (slip-on), 004885 and 005885 (thread-on) open at 6-10" WC vacuum and 2.5-6" WC pressure, with 005885 adding an internal screen. All are built from materials 100% compatible with B0-B20 and E0-E85 fuels. Apex supplies, installs and services Husky P/V vents in Lebanon.

- Aluminium body and deflector, 40 mesh stainless steel screen, stainless steel set screws; 005885 adds an internal screen to protect the pressure plate after a bad bulk drop

How it works
How a Husky P/V vent lets a tank breathe without letting vapour out.
A storage tank pulls in air as fuel is drawn out and pushes vapour out as it fills or warms. The vent cap opens only when it must, in either direction.

The tank breathes through the vent stack
The vent riser runs from the top of an underground or aboveground storage tank to a cap above grade. The Husky cap threads straight onto the 2 in pipe, using the cast-on hex nut so it tightens without reaching between vent pipes.
