Safety breaks
Self-closing protection against drive-off damage.
Elaflex safety breaks separate when a vehicle drives off with the nozzle still in the tank. Both halves close themselves so fuel stops flowing, and the dispenser, hose assembly and car are protected. Standard types can be reconnected and reused after a separation.
The SSB safety swivel breaks fit directly on the nozzle (SSB 16 for ZVA Slimline 2, SSB 25 for ZVA 25, SSB 32 for ZVA 32). CSB 21 is the COAX version for Stage II vapour recovery nozzles, PSB 16 is a double-closing pump break for the dispenser outlet or between two hoses, and DC types close on both sides to keep residual spillage to a minimum. - Separates at a pull force between 650 N (65 kg) and 1500 N (150 kg), axial or angular
- Max. working pressure 3.5 bar; temperature range -20 °C to +55 °C
- To EN 13617-2, TÜV certified; factory tested with serial number and Data Matrix Code
- For gasoline and diesel to EN 228 and EN 590, including ethanol and biodiesel blends
- Polyurethane break sleeves (BS 16, BS 21) in black, blue, green, yellow and red
- DC double-closing types to EN 13617-2 and INMETRO Portaria No. 17
- Special types: integrated sight glass (with optional propeller), AS types to Australian Standard AS2229, LT low-temperature types
