MUVI unit
In-vehicle unit that reports kilometres or working hours at every fill.
Overview
Fuel consumption figures are only as good as the distance or hours they are divided by, and readings typed in by drivers at the pump are a common source of error. The Maser MUVI unit removes that step. Installed inside the vehicle, it records the kilometres travelled or the hours worked on each journey and hands the figure to the depot automatically.
MUVI is deliberately simple to fit. It needs only power from the vehicle and has no connection to the tachograph, CAN bus or odometer, which avoids interfering with vehicle electronics and keeps installation quick on mixed fleets. The unit is small, 80 x 60 x 25 mm, and works without any action from the driver or the forecourt staff.
When the vehicle arrives at the refuelling area, MUVI transmits its mileage and working-hour data to the MAC Fleet terminal. After the refuelling, the information is passed to CardSmart Fleet 4.0, where it sits alongside the litres delivered to produce reliable consumption reports per vehicle. The data can also feed internal maintenance management applications, for example to schedule servicing by distance or hours.

- Does MUVI connect to the vehicle's tachograph or CAN bus?
- No. It only takes power from the vehicle and needs no connection to the tachograph, CAN bus or odometer.
- How does the mileage reach the system?
- When the vehicle reaches the refuelling area, MUVI transmits mileage and working hours to the MAC Fleet terminal, and the data is then stored in CardSmart Fleet 4.0.
