Overview
DataSmart is the mobile app for the people who run a network of stations: owners, area managers and their staff. It connects to the Maser site and head-office systems and brings the key numbers of every station onto a phone, wherever the manager happens to be.
The opening screen lists the stations, or shows them on a map from their GPS positions. Tapping a site gives real-time sales and fuel stock, and sales reports by product can be pulled per shift, per 24 hours, per week or per month. Stock is drawn as graphs so a low tank is obvious at a glance, and an analytical reporting tool helps compare stations and periods.
The app is not only for reading. Managers can change fuel prices from the phone, either immediately or at a predefined time, which is useful when a price change has to land across the network at the same moment. DataSmart also pushes notifications for abnormal events on the forecourt that the operator has chosen to watch, so problems surface without anyone having to check.
It runs on Android and iOS, is multilingual, and uses infrastructure installed on premises rather than a public cloud, with the dashboard design adaptable to the operator. Apex supplies and supports DataSmart in Lebanon as part of Maser station and network management installations.
