CardSmart User App
A self-service app for loyalty, prepaid and account card holders.
Overview
Where DataSmart is for the station operator, the CardSmart User App is for the operator's customers. Anyone holding cards issued through Maser's CardSmart system, whether loyalty cards, prepaid debit cards or monthly invoiced account cards, can follow them on a phone instead of calling the station or waiting for a statement.
What the app shows depends on the card type. Loyalty holders see their points balance, discounts and points earned, and the vouchers generated and redeemed. Prepaid card holders see the remaining balance and can top the card up from the app. Account customers see their end-of-month balance and can authorise refuelling with biometric confirmation on the phone. All card types show the last five invoices and a monthly transaction report.
The app also helps drivers use the network: it lists the stations where the cards are accepted and shows them on a map. Notifications arrive for each refuelling made with a card, when a new invoice is issued and when an account statement is ready, which gives fleet owners and families an immediate check on how their cards are used.
For the operator, offering the app is a service advantage that supports customer retention. It runs on Android and iOS, is multilingual and is hosted on the operator's own infrastructure. Apex supplies and supports the CardSmart User App in Lebanon alongside CardSmart card programmes.
