Overview
The ZVA 25 is the DN 25 size in Elaflex's ZVA nozzle family, meant for vehicles with large tanks where a car nozzle would keep the driver waiting. It passes up to 140 l/min at 0.5 to 3.5 bar. Where the pump pushes harder, the '5 bar' version carries the stronger main valve spring EF 362.6 VA and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 5 bar.
Inside, a patented venturi system shuts the nozzle off when the tank is full, a safety cut-out attitude valve reacts to the nozzle's position, and a check valve keeps the hose full between deliveries. The lever latch has three hold-open stages and a removable EB 280 pin. Fuel enters through a DN 25 swivel inlet with pressure flushing and an EK 372 strainer (25 mesh). Body and 31 mm spout are aluminium with a stainless steel tip, the guard is composite material and a soft black PVC cover protects the body. The complete nozzle weighs about 1.5 kg.
The part number tells you the guard and the hose thread. Guards 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 6B and 8 suit different dispenser boots, and 'M' guards carry a block magnet for dispensers with reed contacts. The deadman type 'D' has no latch pin, so it cannot be left latched open. Spout ER 381.9 helps on narrow or awkward filler necks, and the LT type with polyurethane diaphragm parts works at ambient temperatures down to -55 °C.
